We love shipping and we love new technologies. Since our company foundation in 1990, we always look forward to new solutions.

Currently, we manage nine Multipurpose Vessels all over the world. Three newbuilding vessels are going to complete the fleet in summer 2024.
The office of Braren Shipping is based in Kollmar at the beautiful river ‘Elbe’ close to the port of Hamburg.
One of our main focusses is the German Flag and the support of German seafarers.

To love the earth means to save the environment!
In the past we started several projects in green shipping on our vessels. We tested a SCR converter ahead of time, dry scrubbers and now we got a Flettner Rotor on our ship MV Annika Braren.
For our efforts, we’ve got the European clean Marine Award 2004 and the German award “Blauer Engel”
We are always looking for new solutions to save CO2. That might be the biggest challenge for the upcoming decades.

Now over 30 years later, the family business is managed together with the second generation, daughter Anna Braren with husband Jan Braren. Starting with one ship increased the fleet up to eleven ships in 2024.
